A selection from a series of digital images inspired by Des Knaben Wunderhorn, a cycle of Lieder by Gustav Mahler based on popular songs and poems collected and edited by Clemens Brentano and Achim von Arnim. A collaboration with Ensemble Concordanze, a collective of musicians with the mission to bring live performances of classical music to an unusual and underprivileged audience, such as psychiatric patients or prison inmates. The images were conceived as visuals for the live première of a transcription of the entire Mahler song cycle in a version for 11 instruments by Mattia Cipolli.
