A short film that documents and elaborates on the experience of my workshop “Elsewherenauts of Metropoluz” (May 30, 2026, Metropoliz/MAAM, Rome) for IPERfestival delle Periferie 2006 SUPER LIEUX curated by Giorgio de Finis.

Starting from elements of some of my previous works, we imagined figures and situations inspired by the unique spaces of the MAAM and the self-managed lunar mission of the Metropoliz community (“Space Metropoliz,” directed by Giorgio de Finis and Fabrizio Boni in 2012); by texts by Pier Paolo Pasolini (“L’articolo delle lucciole,” 1975) and Georges Didi-Huberman (“Survivance des lucioles,” 2009); and by the space flight of the Soviet dog Laika (1957). “Elsewherenauts” features the idea of a “small tech” science fiction that does not aim to conquer and colonize cosmic territories, but rather to move freely within existing spaces, exploring the “elsewhere” with self-built devices run by imagination.
